FAQ
Why does Zech need a service dog?
Research has shown that individuals that are on the autism spectrum benefit from a service dog in many ways, increasing the quality of life for the individual. Kobe specifically will give Zech more independence and autonomy as he gets older (imagine being 13 and having to hold your mom's hand. NOT COOL.) Will be trained for specific tasks, and will give Zechariah opportunities to interact with new people in a public setting
What will a service dog do for Zech?
We would like to train Kobe for 5 tasks, but even if he can do just three, it would help Zechariah immensely!
1) Deep Pressure
2) Tethering
3) Focus Reminder
4)Tactile Grounding
5) Crowd Blocking
Kobe was chosen specifically to be a service dog and does several of these things naturally. Over the course of the next 5 months we hope that he can learn to do them on command.
Also Kobe will carry Zechariah's EpiPens :)
If you do not want to book anything but you would like to donate, we would be very grateful!
Please put ZECHNKOBE as the subject/comment when you donate, and also please send me your address!
