Let's begin with a conversation
Every final gallery starts with a personal connection, without exception. Our journey together will begin with a brief phone call to make sure we are the right fit for one another. From there, it becomes my privilege to guide you through a collaborative experience from planning your session to choosing your final artwork, albums and heirloom prints for your home. My ultimate goal is a tailored, stress-free process from day one to delivery.

Your session day
As an on location photographer, my flexibility is my superpower! I bring the studio to you, whether we are shooting with natural light, professional strobes and lamps, or a combination of both, I can transform any space into something beautiful, magical and personal. With over 14 years of experience in photographing people, especially children, I can create relaxed, fun session that result in authentic expression...not just the 'cheese face'. And yes, I ALWAYS get THE shot. Within the week you will receive a link in your inbox to an online proof gallery of 60-90 images from which you get to select your final 30-50 images for editing.

Design/Ordering Consultation
All too often, digital files (even professional ones) never leave the Cloud. This is why I have spent years developing a curated and hands-on design and ordering experience that capitalizes on my skills to transform your session files into heirloom-quality keepsakes, wall art and print while allowing you to be the expert in the images you know you can't live without. Every tangible product that I offer is professionally printed, archival, and designed to last generationally. And don't worry, if it gets printed, it automatically comes with a digital and printable backup file on a flash drive, and all of my print packages include digital files on a flash drive as well. Additionally, most of my clientele invest in at least one album, and albums 8x8 and larger include every accompanying digital file as a printable backup. Finally, I offer a free app that you can download to your phone that makes it easy and fun to save your session on your phone and to share automatically optimized images on social media.
Why do Portraits Matter?
Families more than ever feel the pressure to invest in professional photography as time in our fast paced world is whisked away relentlessly. Sadly, many of those family and milestone sessions stay hidden in a cloud or on a hard drive to be forgotten. If they are lucky, they will come up in a social media memory and if they are very lucky perhaps they were printed at CVS or another poor quality printing company as a 4x6 or 5x7.
My creation fee for the session itself is lower because I strongly believe your investment deserves more. Your session should bring love and life to your walls, be seen by your children and grandchildren daily and be saved and treasured for generations to come as art, legacy and memory all in one.

During our call we will discuss your vision for your session, then my style and process. From there we will begin building an experience that is right for you. My creation fee starts at $75 and covers our session time together and anywhere from 15-90 images to choose from in an online proof gallery. Where we go from there is entirely up to you and how you choose to invest in products and packages that reflect your session. Every piece is printed professionally on archival medium, and wall art can be signed if you wish.

I am a scientist turned photographer. I studied Biology at James Madison University (Go Dukes) and Microbiology and Immunology at University of North Dakota. After we had our first baby, my life changed in a way that I never expected and I found myself raising a child with significant special needs. I heard my grandmother's voice in my head over and over asking me if I was 'still doing my art' I often think of how proud she must be to see that I listened to her and kept at it! I have always loved art, and I have always loved people, so photography was so natural for me. The fact that you let me into your world, if even just for a few hours, is priceless, and it blesses my very soul. It makes me want to spoil you with special treatment to make sure you get exactly what you want--and end result that will bring you joy not just the day I deliver your proofs, or the day that we look at your final gallery, but for your entire life and for generations to come. I am extremely passionate about printing images and you will see if you ever visit my home that I practice what I preach. I would not trade a single frozen memory on my walls or in an album for all the digital files in the world. I have lived in Winchester with my Husband and 1, then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 children, plus my firstborn, a ragdoll cat and my son's service dog Kobe.
